So back when ^^that^^ happened I was rolling around an idea in my head for a WordGirl fan fiction/comic (that I'm still hoping to do) that included - among other things - a teen-aged WordGirl leading a team of heroines to fight crime. It wasn't the main part of the story (in fact her teammates would amount to little more than cameos) but even cameos need costumes. One member would be a reformed Eileen the Birthday Girl (heroine name pending, suggestions welcome) and this picture is just how that design is going.
(L-to-R)The first model I pretty much was just capturing the palette first and not really thinking too much about design; I put a few frills just under the pelvis and called it a 'dress' - now she's 'Sailor Eileen'.
Model 2 I'm trying to channel 'Giant-Man' and 'She-Hulk' (the two heroes whose powers she emulates) and while I liked it at first (mostly due to the quality of Rika-Dono's base) she seem a bit petite for a giantess - and a little to 'naked' (go figure, right?). Also she looked like Pinkie-Pie with a dye-job (not that there's anything wrong with that). It also seemed like too much of the original character was lost.
I got a more full-bodied base from Dualmask for Model 3 and tried to channel more of the 'Southern Belle/ Debutante' look of the Original Eileen. After I picked up a pic for reference and got started it first seemed like it'd be too busy looking (it is) but after I put it all on I still have to say she's rocking it pretty well...but is a bit overdressed for combat.
Not to say its the final version, but Model 4 is definitely closest in my mind to what I wanted: a 'girly' dress combined with the action unitard of her heroic inspiration. I dumped the wavier dress because I do not draw those well at all and the one one number 3 is bothering me enough.

P.S. If you're wondering about the cat necklace-thing: I included it because it DOES seem to have some kind of powers attached to it I'm pretty sure its important her either way - maybe factor it into her name, somehow?
